The first question every bride will ask is, "How far in advance do I need to mail my invitations?"
The standard is 6 weeks, however, if you are inviting guests who will be traveling from quite a distance you may want to give them enough time to book a flight and/or hotel room. In this case, think about mailing out your Wedding Invitation Collection 8-10 weeks before your wedding date. Mailing out Save-The-Dates up to 6 months before your wedding date will be a huge help to your guests, too.
Since I need time to design and print your Wedding Invitation Collection all information should be finalized at least 12-14 weeks before your wedding date. Keep in mind, at that point your menu should be decided.
Put it all together and how soon should we get started on your Custom Wedding Invitations?
Atleast 4-6 months before your wedding date. 12 months if you will be ordering Save-The-Dates. Need it all in a Rush - we will do our best!
I promise to make the entire process as smooth as possible. You have enough to worry about!
Save-The-Dates could include Hotel Information, however, many times blocking rooms have not been contracted at the time the Save-The-Dates are mailed. (Each hotel/motel has their own time frame for this service, please check with them.) If needed, once your guests have saved your date they can start looking into airline flights.
Don't forget to delegate - invite your mother, sister, new mother-in-law or bridesmaids over for an "Addressing & Stuffing Party". But, please keep the drinks away from your Wedding Invitation Collection. Included with every collection are some very helpful addressing and stuffing guidelines.
